PRACTICES

Most practices will be held at the Golden West College Gym. We might also use some other local gyms, but only on occasion. All teams will practice every Sunday afternoon/evening. All other practices will be held weeknight evenings, and some Saturday afternoons. All teams will practice 2-3 times a week. Each player will receive a monthly practice schedule from their coach.

TOURNAMENTS

This year, fall tournament results will have implications in Junior Olympic qualifying and seeding. Our teams will have four or five one-day tournaments (usually on Sundays) beginning in early Nov, the two-day Holiday Classic tourney in mid- December, and the three-day Boys Invitational tourney in late January. All players are responsible for their own transportation to and from all tournaments and practices. Directions to playing sites will be given to all players prior to tournament. The Surf City Coaching Staff works hard to give every player plenty of playing time, but final decisions are determined by the coaches. If you have any questions regarding your son’s playing time, please direct them to Mike D’Alessandro, and not the individual coaches.
